The seed of an idea
The potential of a thousand forests lies in one acorn. I first understood this not in a classroom, but in the faces of students who didn't yet know what they carried. Young people who sat in front of me uncertain, anxious, or simply unaware — and who, with the right conditions, the right questions, and someone who genuinely believed in them, began to grow into something extraordinary.
Three decades of nurturing leaders
I spent 30 years in educational leadership. I co-founded a school, led it for two decades, trained teachers across three continents, pioneered leadership programmes for young people, and built a community where excellence and human dignity were never in competition. Every single day of that journey confirmed the same truth: people don't need to be fixed. They need to be seen, believed in, and given the tools to become who they already have the potential to be.
A new chapter in 's-Hertogenbosch
When my husband and I relocated to the Netherlands, I found myself in a new season, a trailing spouse in a foreign country, rebuilding from scratch. This personal journey reinforced my belief in the power of resilience and adaptation, experiences I now bring to Acorn to Oak Trees.
