*Wednesday Wisdom 💡*
For two years, I tried to pin my worth to an hourly rate.
As a tutor. A coach. A leadership trainer. I kept doing the math, trying to make a number tell me something a number was never built to tell me.
It was impossible. Because I was asking the wrong question.
Here's what I've settled on:
*What someone pays you is not a reflection of your worth. It's a reflection of theirs.*
What they value. What they can afford. What they've been taught to prioritize. What they can see or can't yet see, in the work you do.
Your worth was never up for negotiation. It doesn't fluctuate with someone else's budget, someone else's blind spots, or someone else's understanding of what transformation is worth.
And here's the truth I keep coming back to: the ability to add real value to people's lives is a skill and it's priceless.
Know your value, But never let a rate — theirs or yours — become the measure of your worth.
